Fredman Design Group believes that design matters for everyone - great design reflects our personalities, works for our lifestyles and allows us to be our best selves. The award-winning interior design team is passionate about creating these spaces with and for clients. Creating designs of distinction for almost forty years, Susan Fredman and her multi-faceted team know what it takes to translate visions into built environments, beautifully.

As a result of her firm’s extensive pro bono projects, Fredman was motivated to create Designs for Dignity. D4D transforms the existing spaces of local non-profit organizations by providing pro bono design services and in-kind donations from the design community and industry partners. They help those non-profits to better serve their constituents. D4D has done so for over 150 organizations and is looking to expand nationally this year.

Susan Fredman is a leader who believes wholeheartedly in the power of possibility. She has not stopped at interior design; instead she constantly creates new possibilities to explore for herself and the people around her. Her commitment to making a positive impact in the world around her has been recognized time and again. From opening retail showrooms at every one of her design studio locations, to creating custom rug and fixture lines, to venturing into her long-standing dream of building custom homes with shipping containers, Susan Fredman is a visionary for the design world and beyond.

Inspired by Chicago's magnificent skyline and all the fabulous rooftop decks that adorn it, the design team created an intimate, yet dramatic outdoor living space that combines textural details with luxury finishes. An illuminated, knotted rope fixture pools on the ground in the dining nook, as the concrete cocktail area intermingles with the lush, soft lounge area to its right. Interlocking cocktail tables mix metallics and natural elements to peak the eye's interest as well. The trellises define the space, while providing a bit of a retreat from summer's heat and sun. This urban rooftop oasis brings luxury to life, high atop the city lights.
